The hat is my triumph. The jacket now outgrown. Dressing him up like a crazy gnome? only just begun.
I love how tactile felt is and wet-felting seems suited to my slapdash method of try it and see. Careful measurements don't work anyway (at least for me) and tinkering is king. Plus, it's cheap.

I love it...my little gnome is now 15 years old...and I loved dressing her like a gnome when she was a baby...think I'll try it again tonight...
ReplyDeleteHa, it is fun, isn't it. Though I wonder how much luck you'll have with a fifteen year old ;)

ReplyDeleteholy shit, you *made* that hat?
ReplyDeleteI did (the jacket too, but the hat was cooler.) In a fit of pregnancy activity I learned how to felt wool - I am a fan partially because it doesn't require sewing, nor a great deal of skill (if a bit of elbow grease).
