"A portrait of Mister G, once a week, every week in 2013"

This is just G. So G.  After coating himself in porridge and the subsequent stripdown, G would not be re-dressed and preferred instead to range about the flat, barechested and proud, like a tiny shirtless Putin on a Siberian summer holiday.

I think G may have his first word this week, as the girls at nursery were convinced he's been saying "Yellow" when they read the Colours book with him.  PA and I are naturally skeptical when it comes to this sort of thing (and in no particular rush either, G will speak exactly how and when he is ready to, just like with crawling, just like with walking) but I do think it might be real.  Although we have mainly been pointing at yellow things so there may be a slight testing bias.
Peekaboo behind the bedroom curtains has been a big game this week and G has been adamant about his desire to feed himself using spoon and fork.

I didn't think I would find it so hard to pick just one picture as different pictures show various qualities of G (in varying qualities of photo) and I'm a little torn between picking the 'most G' or the 'better' picture. Here are my two other favourites from this week:

Light // Dark
G has discovered the table lamp at the end of the sofa and is thrilled with his ability to turn a light ON! an OFF! Without needing to be lifted up.

chubby hands // dimpled knuckles // big hair
Porridge is a breakfast favourite (I just discovered kerf's whipped banana oatmeal and the consistency is so good) and we are encouraging G's recent resurgence of the desire to feed himself. He's pretty adept with a spoon, but sometimes it gets a little messy.
We did call him Pork Belly in utero though, so I suppose we've noone to blame for his piggy eating habits but ourselves. Ha.

I'm enjoying playing along with the 52 Project - things move so fast (and Mister G moves so fast) that it is nice to consciously preserve a few of these little moments.

    1. Thanks geraldine. They are Marimekko - I got a bit overexcited about the Raanu fabric a few months back and made them. So now I insist he wears them ALLLL the time.
