We don't have a tv - I know, I know, such an obnoxious pronouncement, but relevant in that it means we watch television shows we like online. This helps combat my tendency to get sucked into crap and mitigates toward exploring awesome Sesame Street youtube videos, particularly in those fussy interludes just before dinner in the evenings when I sit with Mister G on my lap alternating between shiny new and classic old clips while PA slaves away in the kitchen.

Catchy too.
This is amazing! I had never thought of checking sesame street clips. We always end up watching in the night garden because I don't know any other children's tv shows (I'm sure this will change). I will definitely be showing this to Elizabeth next time we need a tv fix. thanks!

Thats exactly why we go for sesame street, I just don't really know the kids tv now (so old;) - and it seems like a good compromise; children's tv that we can both enjoy!
DeleteI think all of us smug non-tv-owners must know the best Sesame Street numbers - I actually have a Sesame St Youtube playlist, all the songs that me AND Ramona can enjoy over and over. That is next level!
ReplyDeleteFound your blog through Fritha's. How lovely it is too :)
Yes! "smug non-tv-owners" is about right ;). What's your playlist?! We watch other peoples' playlists and they've introduced me to so many great old vids that I've not seen before - the four tops? "standing in the dark I heardmy dog bark"?! Genius.
DeleteI worry I'm creating a Henson monster though...
