A Roof, A Beer

A couple of good friends.

Sometimes I hang out on the roof with a couple of my favourite people and a couple of italian beers, laying back in the sunshine that feels almost like summertime, talking.  About what we're doing, where we want to go.  It doesn't happen often, but when it does it reminds me of those conversations that expanded to fill long hazy afternoons as a student and of how perceptive and funny friends are. I think it's the lack of barriers to the horizon that helps with perspective.

There's nothing like a rooftop to lend an air of profundity.

Also, Peroni.

  1. I agree. Rooftops are special. Somehow having a patio in a backyard just isn't the same. Perhaps the height, the thinner air, clears your mind a bit when you're up on a roof.

  4. Sounds absolutely lovely. Passing time idly dreaming with friends is one of the best things.
